Phillip has many years of experience in corporate and commercial law. He advises companies, shareholders, managing directors, and founders on all aspects of corporate law - from formation and structuring to ongoing corporate housekeeping, including the preparation and conduct of shareholders’ meetings, all the way to shareholder disputes and liability issues.

Phillip’s particular focus lies in advising on corporate transactions (M&A) as well as supporting start-ups and investors. His work includes financing rounds, various financing structures - including service-for-equity / media-for-equity models - negotiating investment and shareholders’ agreements, and designing employee participation programs (VSOP). In shareholder disputes, Phillip also frequently deals with allegations of competitive misconduct.

In commercial and distribution law, Phillip primarily handles cooperation agreements and long-term supply relationships. He often assists small and medium-sized enterprises with contract drafting, frequently acting in the role of an outsourced legal department.

His clients include corporate groups, small and medium-sized enterprises, shareholders, managing directors, and start-ups from a wide range of industries.

Phillip is a founding partner of BROOK and is frequently recommended in the area of corporate law in the JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms. He is a certified specialist lawyer (Fachanwalt) for commercial and corporate law.

Following his studies and internship in Hamburg and Los Angeles he graduated with a Master of Laws at the University of Sydney in Australia.
